Long Description

The Praise School Phiippines has taken steps towards sustainability by installing a rooftop solar plant on three of its buildings, which will offset 70% of the school's electricity requirements through solar energy. The school, situated in Davao area, aims to become a more environmentally friendly educational institution, in line with Phillipine's Clean Energy Strategy. The initiative seeks to increase the share of clean and renewable energy in country's energy mix.

A year ago, the school began its sustainability journey by opting to install a rooftop solar power plant on campus. The school partnered with Lumealink, a developer of commercial and industrial solar power plants, to complete the installation in December. The 130-kilowatt solar plant will generate 239,000 kilowatt-hour units of electricity annually, which will help reduce carbon dioxide emissions ove 100 tonnes each year.
